John the Houseband
We are John. A group of artists and friends. We met through our study in the Theaterschool of Amsterdam ten years ago and had a common wish to play music together. Since then we have travelled through Europe together playing bank flamencos, cover songs, songs with ukuleles, flutes, synthesizers and shakers. We play sad songs and happy songs, rap songs, medleys, pop songs, songs about dickshakers, about sheep, foxes and the celebration of the world as it motherf%$&ing is. We have done a seven hours concert until the candles stopped burning. We have met in the south and travelled to the north. Been to all of our home countries, introduced our parents, our families, our lovers. We dance chords and sing choreographies and make you move all night long.
